For over 20 years, Trial Consulting Manager Dan Martin has been providing notable litigators throughout the country with winning visual courtroom strategies. He and his team take the time to acquire in-depth knowledge of their cases and carefully consider which presentation methodologies are best suited to convey themes and arguments. Dan is skilled in all vehicles of visual message delivery, including graphic imagery, 2D and 3D animations, multimedia tutorials, field recordings and site documentation, and also in the techniques of audio enhancement. His goal is always to ensure that judges and jurors receive clear, pungent, and appealing visual communications that promote their understanding of case issues and persuade them to side with his clients.
Dan has extensive experience producing media for high-stakes environmental litigation, and he is particularly adept at creating interactive presentations that enable judges and jurors to visit virtually the sites at issue in a case. He created such interactive experiences for several of his defendant clients, which resulted in case outcomes beneficial to them. He produced powerful trial demonstratives and strategies that resulted in favorable verdicts or settlements in cases such as the In re Deepwater Horizon Litigation, Vermilion Parish School Board v. Louisiana Land & Exploration, Bristol-Myers Squibb v. Mylan, and San Diego Water Authority v. Metro Water District of Southern California.
Before joining IMS, he was trial graphics/multimedia producer for Merrill Corporation, and before that, he was video editor for LEGALINK. Dan is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz and lives with his family in Albany, California. He enjoys volunteering in support of Oakland public school libraries, the Alameda County Community Food Bank, The Crayon Initiative, and other local charities.
