The American Bar Association hosts the False Claims Act and Qui Tam Trial Institute on April 25-27, 2022, in Miami, FL. The award-winning False Claims Act Trial Institute will feature a two-day mock jury trial in which experienced lawyers from the government, realtors’, and defense bar will try a healthcare fraud case to a jury.

IMS Senior Jury Consultant Aref Jabbour, PhD will present a voir dire CLE on Tuesday, April 26, 10:00 am – 10:45 am, EST.

Some federal judges allow lawyers to question prospective jurors for a limited time to gather information to intelligently exercise limited challenges to specific individuals from serving on a jury. Others require the parties to submit proposed questions and decide which ones they will use or modify. This demonstration will illustrate strategies used by counsel to try to assess which jurors to strike among other things.
